The Reoccurring Dream
The darkness of sleep. It seemed to fall on forever, in every direction. I looked like an infinite abyss with no end. It gradually began to lower and reveal. I was standing in a small clearing, the moonlight bright where I stood. As I continued to observe my surroundings, I saw a wolf. It lay on a rock, watching me, but it was no ordinary wolf. Its fur was an aubergine color, speckled with flecks of gold and black. His narrowed eyes were a bright silver, piercing through me, as though staring through my soul. I stood there, unable to move. Suddenly it leapt towards me, landing a fair distance from me, but I turned and began running from it. I continued running scared for my life, all the while I could see it chasing after me,
I saw a drop in front of me. I turn to see where the wolf was. It's sharp teeth sank into my arm, causing me to scream in pain. I jolted up, in a completely different area. My heart racing, I quickly looked around, trying to figure out where I was. It took me a moment to realize that I was not up tied up in the room. I saw the dimly lit forest in front of me, beckoning me to come once more into its dark embrace. I turned to the road in I disbelief.
